Performance in past T20 World Cup

Here is a quick recap of the Australian cricket team's performances in the T20 World Cups.
ICC World Cup T20 2007: The refreshing moments of winning the ICC ODI World Cup 2007 energised the Australian cricket team for a fresh start under Ricky Ponting's leadership. But regrettably, they had to suffer a humiliating exit at the semi-finals against the Men in Blue.
ICC World Cup T20 2009: The second edition of this global event was rather a nightmare for the Australian Team, where they had to endure a group stage exit.
ICC World Cup T20 2010: The 2010 T20 World Cup campaign was a redemption for the Australian T20 World Cup Team after a premature exit in 2009. Unfortunately, they suffered a heartbreaking loss in the final against England.
ICC World Cup T20 2012: The Aussies' superior net run rate helped them face the Windies in the semi-finals. However, due to a weak Australian bowling attack, the team had to surrender and face a semi-final loss.
ICC World Cup T20 2014: The 5th edition of the T20 World Cup saw Australia’s T20 World Cup Captain George Bailey step down from captaincy after the worst performance in Super 10s, which led to an early group stage exit.

ICC World Cup T20 2021: This eventful year marked victories in all the ICC trophies for the Aussies, as they defeated New Zealand in the T20 World Cup finals and won the maiden ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 trophy.
ICC World Cup T20 2022: After 2021, there were high expectations for the Australian team to win the World Cup, especially as the tournament was held in Australia. They played five matches and won three. The match against England was abandoned. The only match they lost was against New Zealand. They scored seven points but unfortunately couldn't reach the semifinals.
It will be interesting to see how the Australian Cricket Team performs in the T20 World Cup.

Will Australian Win 2024 T20 World Cup

The Australia Team for T20 World Cup 2022 showed excellent performance in the 2022 T20 World Cup. However, they couldn’t win the trophy. The time gap for the next pinnacle global event, ICC Men’s World T20 2024, is pretty less; the selection committee & the players are fully charged up with exceptional post-T20 World Cup 2022-23 events, like Australia’s tour of India, Pakistan, West Indies, and New Zealand. .
With the T20 World Cup warm-up series to come, captain Aaron Finch and coach Andrew McDonald will try to build more confidence in the dressing room. Since Australian Cricket is known for making minor team changes, Andrew McDonald would like to experiment less with the players' selection rather than focusing on the current & confident side. The present scenario suggests a strong & competitive Australian side to head to the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which begins for the Australian team on June 6, 2024, onward. The Aussies are known for outstanding performances in big events, which are reflected in the last World Cup.
