How is a set of overs considered in PowerPlay contests?
A set of overs is a collection of overs in a particular range for which you can apply PowerPlay. For example, if you apply PowerPlay in overs 11-20, the set of overs range from 10.1 - 19.6 (20th over).
What happens if a match ends before my PowerPlay is applied/before the scheduled time?
Since you select your PowerPlay before the match starts, your PowerPlay will not be applied if the match ends before your selected set of overs.
Do I need to create new teams for the PowerPlay contests?
No, you can join the PowerPlay contests with an existing team that you have already created.
Where can I check my PowerPlay points?
Simply go to your PowerPlay contest(s) you have joined and tap on 'Team Preview' to view the PowerPlay points for that particular team. Rest assured, the PowerPlay contest(s) will have all the calculations in the correct manner.
Will I get a refund for a PowerPlay contest if a match or contest gets abandoned?
Yes, you will get a refund of your entry if the match or contest gets abandoned.
Will PowerPlay be available for Private contests?
No, PowerPlay will not be available for Private contests.
Why are PowerPlay contests not available for other tournaments/sports/formats?
PowerPlay contests are currently available only for selected tournaments and sports. We’re working on enhancing your Dream11 experience and PowerPlay contests might soon be available for your favourite tournaments and sports.
Why am I not able to use Safety Shield in the PowerPlay contests?
Safety Shield is only applicable on Mega Contests. Since PowerPlay is a different type of a contest you can join and is not part of a Mega Contest, you will not be able to use Safety Shield on your PowerPlay contest teams.
